At First United Methodist Church, San Leandro, we aim to create a welcoming and nurturing environment for children and youth. We strive to provide them with fun and meaningful programs and activities where they can learn the truth of life through the word of God. Our dedicated church members are committed to providing a safe space where children and youth can develop healthy self-esteem and make happy memories that will last a lifetime.
PROGRAMS & ACTIVITIES
Confirmation Class
(Fourth Sundays, Jan-Sep)
The confirmation class is offered to prepare baptized youth to respond to God’s grace and to take up the responsibilities of Christian discipleship. After this class, the participants will have the opportunity to respond to God’s call to discipleship and to publicly respond and profess the faith on October 13th.
Bowling Day
(April 14th)
Come join us for a day of bowling and fun, starting with some tasty pizza in our church before we head out for some friendly competition at the bowling alley. We believe that this event will be a great opportunity for our youth to build friendships, have fun and make lasting memories.
Mother's Day Celebration
(May 12th)
At our church, we have a strong community of mothers who support kids and youth in growing in their faith. During the fellowship time from 10:30 to 11:00 AM on Mother's Day, kids and youth will have the opportunity to show our love and gratitude for these special women by providing some delicious snacks for them to enjoy.
